It's 5 days. If your scheduled to leave out Monday you'll leave Monday and go home Friday. Gain seniority and get a $90,000 schedule and be home every day. We don't fool with that truckload junk (appointment times, shippers, receivers, open doors, bump docks, loading unloading etc)

If you put word out onto the street, there will be more than enough applicants competing for that $70,000 a year job. There is nothing hard about filling a decent paying vacant job. It is only hard to come by on the applicant's part. For 90% plus of the American population, $70,000 a year is a dream come true.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

You are right, dock workers jobs cannot be shipped overseas.

However, with the unfortunate lingering unemployment that the United States of America is suffering from, many of the unemployed people will work those jobs for much less money than what is currently being paid.

It is quite sad only because those dockworkers jobs are very physically backbreaking strenuously physically demanding jobs. One cannot put a price on their backs or the rest of their bodies.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

So I was wondering how, or why, you took a job without knowing what it paid?

Then, if I understand correctly, you got free CDL training and were sold to a company that is in collusion with the CDL school?

And then you left after three weeks. That will leave you in a bind...

just go to the wrk4 Estes website and click on linehaul. Look for a nearby terminal. Tops out at .5585 per mile. Average 2750 miles per week. We have drivers at top pay quitting and retiring. I guess the handout crowd is realizing the low income and welfare checks outweigh making good money and paying taxes

    Sojourn14 and mje Thank this.

Thanks for the update! Good job! You are practically onboard! Do youself a favour and ride this one out for at least a year so you don't look like a job-hopper. I think what you are signing up for will pay off for you in the long run! I encourage you to share your experience in our LTL/local folder so others can draw from your experience. Great job again! I wish you the very best!

    mje and Prolaznik Thank this.
