Don't you all get mad at me but I gotta ask. Is $15.75 good money? Seriously, I know grocery baggers that make that, without tips and they don't have to go to school or pee in a bottle or see good or follow off duty rules or drive safe or deal with stress or have low blood pressure, or understand dot rules and pea in a bottle after a wreck fill out paperwork, and know how to use Qualcomm etc
12-25 cpm wasn't enough for me

$15.75 an hour X 40 hours = $630.00 a week.
$630.00 a week x 52 weeks = $32,760 a year.
$32,760 a year divided by 12 months = $2,730.00 a month.
You know grocery baggers who earn $15.75 an hour bagging groceries??
Years ago, in the Northeast, I bagged groceries, along with being a clerk in a supermarket, for several years NOT making much more than the federal minimum wage.

$15.75 is the starting wage Most local/regional will show what their guys start at where on then other hand, I've seen a lot of OTR website that state what you "could" make with them annually.
If you still make $15.75/hour five years from now, go find a new job. Most local guys will give you a raise after coming out of probation, and then annually up until your fifth year. I actually started at $15.25 for non-driving related work. I've gotten a $1.00/hour raise since then.
$15.75 bagging groceries?!?!?! Unless you are bagging them in golden bags for Donald Trump, I think you are exaggerating.Pmracing Thanks this. -
Yes and no depends on the location and cost of living, 7 years ago i was making lil over $15 an hr but that was in chicago. Left the big city and never looked back, now where i live most jobs start you at/around $10. So for me 15.75 is good money.
Starting is 15.75 there are three raise in the first year after 90 days 6 months and 6 month again and after the first year it's once a year -
I know there's a push for minimum wage to be $15 an hour. Alberstons pays well. I think my Wifes dumb dumb mom made $15 an hour at krogers. Costco employees average above $15 a hour no matter what part of the country they are located. Publix etc. just saying.

Yes, $15 an hour is not bad for flipping burgers, stocking shelves, being a cashier or bagger. But to take on all the responsibility of truck driving, while it may be accepted by drivers, is not a fair amount.
Do the above "professions" have the knowledge to inspect and certify their equipment is safe to operate, and personally accept the federal fines if it is not and still used?
They deal with complaining customers that are never satisfied. But do they have texting 4 wheelers cutting 10 feet in front of them to get to the exit about 2 seconds sooner than if they exited behind?

You can actually do well working in a grocery store. Problem is that you have to start young and stay with it for 10+ years. A lot of the employees start while in high school and just work their way up.

Right. Costco's minimum is $11 (might be higher these days) they get a .25 cent raise every 400 hours then it goes to 800 hours after a while. I'm sure there's promotions from floor sweeper to light bulb fixer but it sure beats what a trucker has to do or went through to get where he is. My brother does over $20 at Lowes. Some of the best benefit packages out there. Paid time off etc. Drives a little class c truck. The retirement split 2 or 3 times since he's been there. He's been there since high school. He lives in a very low cost of living area.
