I just got my Cdl and soon I will be buying my truck tractor. I'm 19 years old and don't have experience , where could I get insurance? I plan on working in the Long Beach port in California. If anyone could give me advice please.

You don't need to leave the state to work the ports, but it'll still be very tough to get insurance.

Are you just running drayage? Then see if anyone can bring you on under their company authority, insurance can get much cheaper depending on the air radius your planning to run.

www.OOIDA.com is a business website for the owner-operator and there's also insurance information on there.
