Someone said in another thread that as of 10/26/2016 they will no longer be writing insurance for new entrants.

You don't need to leave the state to work the ports, but it'll still be very tough to get insurance.

    You might try:

Are you just running drayage? Then see if anyone can bring you on under their company authority, insurance can get much cheaper depending on the air radius your planning to run.

You are correct, Progressive has left the new entrant market. They weren't seeing the profit margins on new carriers to offset the losses they were getting.

www.OOIDA.com is a business website for the owner-operator and there's also insurance information on there.
