Very sad. I hope the families and injured are taken care of.

Two tires came loose. I'm guessing it was one hub where either loose lugnuts that caused the studs to hollow out the rim, or maybe a cracked hub from lug nuts cranked down too tight. I had the latter happen once years ago 150 miles after I picked up a trailer. Thankfully a guy flagged me down and I stopped before it came off. I've been paranoid about lug nuts and hubs ever since.

I carry a heat temp gun, cost less than $25 at any auto parts store. Every time I stop, I walk around the truck and shoot all my hubs. Gives me peace of mind, but a great majority of todays drivers can go weeks with out even opening their hoods and actually do a proper pre/post trip inspection.
