My boss just bought one with a Cummins and having regen problems with some light coming on, had only 600 miles on it, took it back Pete to have it looked at
Yup. Been told Cummins can have regeneration problems. I've got 118,000 miles on mine, no regeneration problems yet, *knocks on wood*
I think with these newer motors that you need a apu, the less you idle them the less problems your going to have it seems, I could be wrong
Now that you had it a few years... hows that paccar motor treating you... hows the truck been wearing over all... if you had to do it again would you go a different route? Im looking at nearly identical truck to yours... 7.8MPG... now that is impressive with those pipes on the side... which i love btw! Very nice truck you have... very curious to your feed back...
Might be a bit off subject here but I have a question regarding the sound / entertainment system. My in dash (2017 579) NAVSTAR has a media input for a rear AUX but I can't seem to find the "rear" AUX. Does anyone know where it's located or if the truck even has extra AUX connection points?
Why would it even matter to this guy? Yeah yeah...I know it's an old post. Just reading on any ideas for cab curtains in this Pete. 1st I've been in with no cab curtains or rails to hang any. Just used to sum'n bigger. Not enough room in the back. And no storage areas up front no my side. Oh well...stay safe everyone
I've been hearing of engine problems and having to do a rebuild at 1100000 klm or so. Currently at 940000. And thinking of trading it in. It's a 579 with a mx13. 13 speed.
Evening all. I’m looking at a 2015 Pete 579 or 2016 T680. Just wondering how you guys are holding up in the 15 Pete. Have you had any major issues or rough experiences so far?
