Is there a list of things to go bad and the avg cost to repair

There you go bub. Check out my post here for insight on what you’re trying to do.

    @mitmaks

It’s for 2nd owners only and you can buy 1 yr 100k or 2 yr 200k. It makes most sense to buy 200k though because as you said it can only be bought once.

Your correct it covers everything but emissions. However, emissions problems never really go higher then 5k but turbos, rebuilds, etc are big big dollars. Generally, if you’re engine is running properly you won’t have emissions issues anyway.

Aftermarket warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on. If it is an extension of the factory warrantie(s) then it would be worth it.

The sales rep said it has 26k hours. That seems extremely high for 200k miles. Maybe he read it wrong.

wait ... is that idle hours or engine hours?

If it is idle hours, don't bother.

If that is engine hours, that works out two a million two hundred thousand and come change.

    Something isn't right.

I would run from ANY cummins of that generation. Google fuel pump ISX
Even the replacement fails and it is fatal to engines if you don't catch it.
If do buy it.. change the fuel pump regularly.

And that's not even all the issues that engine has. If you don't run California, find a GOOD glider with a factory rebuilt 60 series or an n14 or a 6nz. You will be happier in the long run.

I would pick a glider with a 12.7 but the driver has to have an automatic transmission.

    The sales rep said
No, that isn’t too high for 200K miles. Actually 200K should be between 19K – 22K. These are normal TOTAL ENGINE HOURS.

So the sales dweeb know more, got it.

200k works out to be 4166 hours of drive time by the way - this is at the standard 48mph.

Do you guys know why you do an ECM dump?

That is to make sure you see the idle hours opposed to non-idle hours.
