Yup, mine does the same thing. It's a freightliner thing. Kinda like the doors that never want to close.
jacquesi23 and Kolorado Thank this. -
Well, if it is a break pedal it is probably broken.
If it is a brake pedal you might have a loose, worn or missing bushing. -
I hate my freightliner more than anything. They are terrible trucks. It'sjust good for space
GenericUserName and Kolorado Thank this. -
My company has 350ish kw680s and 30-40 freightliners and i got a freightliner.. =( -

I once had a service manager tell me a big gouge in my brake drum was supposed to be there. I asked him to point it out on the other brake drums and then he said well it only happens sometimes. Idiotblairandgretchen and White_Knuckle_Newbie Thank this. -
The cascadia is not my favorite truck either, but I like this one because I got it brand new, and that was the first time I had ever had a brand new truck to drive. Got it in October and have about 40k on it now. And I haven't really had any mechanical problems, it is just cheaply built and the doors don't close or seal very well. I haven't had any windshield cracks yet but I hear that is a common problem as well.

The break pedal is optional equipment and for driver convenience only. Don't need a break pedal in a class 8. Take it out and get-er-done. Breaks just cost you time and money.
taxihacker66 and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
The brake pedal should only be used in an emergency.....Learn how to float the gears up and down and avoid having to put wear and tear on the clutch and brakes.....If look ahead and plan you speed correctly the only time to use the brake is when parking. Same with the Clutch, The only time I use it is when starting off in granny gear.
blairandgretchen Thanks this.
