2023 Peterbilt 579 CB mounting questions

There’s no power even when key is on. It was never wired up from the factory. We have several newer trucks that came the same way. A few of our mechanics will run a power wire up from the batteries but they are all located at terminals I never get to. So I’m going to go the 12v cig lighter route.

As for that adapter, no reason to buy anything, just cut it off and wire your CB power into it.

 

OK I know that these harnesses are universal and may have another end somewhere else.
