You guys have been super helpful. I'm west of Omaha, assembled a list of 6 to call in the morning, 2 of which are Continental dealers - hoping to establish a relationship with one, plan on grabbing an impact and sockets, 2 mounted spares, and being better prepared.

No, I never considered myself heavy haul - but I think it would be wise to be prepared for this predicament. I can see another tool box in my future too. :(

That 'looks' to be a ton easier - I think that'd be worth the $500 odd.

Milwaukee M18 Fuel.. Is what I would buy and what we used. Just make sure it's the fuel or high torque or probably the most expensive. Extremely useful. I'd like to have a 3/4 drive but like I had told you I couldn't find one in stock in the area. The 3/4 isn't that much more torque but having to use adaptors from 1/2 to 3/4 kills a little torque with an impact. Home depot or is it lowes carries Milwaukee and a good selection of tools. Or bomgaars/fleet farm and such. Try and find 1/2 inch drive sockets and skip the adaptors

There are a few members that owned tire shops here. I can’t remember which ones. Maybe @SmallPackage was one.

Very true, many don’t realize an extension of any kind can reduce torque applied at the socket….

I carry an IR battery 1” impact it’s well worth the money. The Milwaukee is a stud too. Beats trying to run a big gun off of truck air

the 1” is a monster and I can’t be trusted with that much power- will lead to broken studs for sure….kormaI am only allowed to operate a hammer…

There are 1/2” 33mm sockets. Autozone and Amazon sell them.
