Yea I get the whole math thing. And if what you described was a common scenario, well... I wouldn't take that job either.

It was probably 28 cents plus per diem pay whatever that is (13.5 cpm?). I can’t believe they would offer 28 cpm flat, that would be laughable.

I think you are correct. I think Schneider per diem is .17cpm. I'm probably wrong though

trucking is like real estate, its worth what someone is willing to pay for it, or in trucking what someone is willing to do it for. there are many drivers who have made 28cpm and went further in life than a guy making 50cpm, because lets face it there are so many drivers making great pay but they are still broke. they just dont feel broke driving a $45k pickup truck lol

Even if a company pays 50 cpm I would ask what the minimum GUARANTEED weekly mileage is.

I get paid 40 cpm... But I AVERAGE 3700 miles a week, so i probably make more than alot of guys that get paid 50 cpm... And I make it home every week for at least a day or 2.

Yeah I don't believe it was just .28 with nothing else added in such as per diem or accesorial pay.

    3700 miles a week? Sheesh, if I go over 2400 a week I'm wore out! You're working too hard!:p

    It’s to late.
    You’ve applied.
    You’re hooked for life.
    You’re now a pumpkin with a target.
You’ll still get your .28cpm maybe .30 if you don’t hit anything in the first 365 days.
