3 + Hours to change a single tire and counting

First 48 is a show about people who get murdered and they film the crime scene and police trying to solve the case for the next 48 Hours... Gary, new orleons, houston,memphis are all the usuall suspects on that show... Ive heard gary aint as bad as it used to be , but its still one of the worst places in the country

 

I have been in some bad places, Atlanta area comes to mind. I have been in every truck stop in the houston area that I ever knew of, and the only one I can think of that would have compared to Gary in my mind, would have been the old key out towards channelview, and that was back when the bar was open, but I think if you stayed the night they issued you a gun. lol
I heard rumors that you could get fuel tickets to cover the costs of lot lizards and even drugs there, but were talking about back in the 80's.

 

That's what happens when running super singles. They don't stock many & have to find them.
Gonna have worse than that being a driver.

 

I would say at that point change it yourself if your that frustrated, though I can't assume you would know how to change it I find if I assume everyone same knowledge as me or someone perhaps that knows a notion of something. me personally at that point I would found place have fun eat have a beer somewhere maybe a hotel sometimes you need find time to slow down obviously never get anywhere near that truck once you touch any drink for many reasons. I used to charge people years ago fix flats when I would pass them when I worked a shop once while it was a driver of a semi-truck call saying he had a flat we didn't specialize in area to be honest that but we were like the only shop within reason so we had a few tires that we carried in case just to have added customers one them would called because next nearest other shop was 40 miles and unless you spoke Spanish they wouldn't understand you they were hard workers though I used to go to a few their parties eventually they went under but they always throw parties and I, of course, show up for free beer.

 

It's a TA. And a super single. I've watched guys fool around with one for an hour trying to get the rim off the axle.

Everyone knows TAs, and other truck stops are for emergencies only.

Be thankful you're not in Ohio.

 

Wait a minute ... why did you get the tire "repaired" in the first place?

If it is a tread issue, always schedule this with a tire company who can get you in and out, all major cities have them.

You should also asked for compensation for sitting while it was changed out.

I can agree with the fried fish. That place JJ Fried fish & Chicken has lots of locations around Chicago and Indiana. Good stuff for sure.

 

That's a bad one. Can see a chunk missing up top on the sidewalk too.
