To be asking that you have to be averaging over 7700 miles a week ( at an average of 55 MPH) on logs. Who you drive for? We ALL wanna work there getting all those miles.
-
Actually a team at a place that has quality team freight will [potentially] run a team into an out-of-hours situation every week. About the only way to avoid this is to be sitting many hours each day which is not very pleasant unless you're teamed with a "real special" person.

Sit for 24 hrs in between breaks is the most efficient way.
Driver A is in the sleeper for 10 hr break while Driver B is driving their shift
Driver A and B stop for 24 hrs,
Driver A now has had 34 hrs off and Driver B gets their 34hr while Driver A starts on their new clockblairandgretchen and Steinbrenner Thank this. -
Yea I forgot about 1/2 break and electronic logs. Brainfart !!!!!

Sometimes teams need to do a reset even though they are technically not out of hours. The team may run expedited freight and will not pickup enough hours. When I ran team we had runs that you needed the reset every week.blairandgretchen and GITRDUN45 Thank this.
-
Only if the breaks cover the 2 time periods of 1 to 5 am.blairandgretchen Thanks this.
-
Sorry, forgot about that. I stopped teaming a few days before that rule went into affect. I guess now you are gonna sit 34-48.blairandgretchen Thanks this.
-
Not to mention the 168 hour rule too.blairandgretchen Thanks this.

Luck, at times.
This week -
Parsons, Ks to rialto, Ca 1475, to
Atlanta - 2150, San Diego, 2150 to Parsons, 1475.
7250 miles, 6.5 days out, home for reset. Each of us will have about 7 hours left. 7250 times .6633 cpm makes $4180+ gross, less tax and health insurance and 401k makes $3000 plus to the piggy bank.
Good to go Friday 5 am. Not an unusual week.
