I agree with others that the text was not rude. And I don't know why you brought up the silly point about being a married man.
I do like that you don't take crap in your negotiations as per being a decent driver in a driver shortage, but you should be more tactful about how you mention it. Remember that employees within a company often don't care as much about their company's well-being as you might think, so trying to appeal to their company loyalty can be a speculative move. There happens to be an employee shortage in most fields now, not just trucking, and maybe even with hiring directors.
You should have either been more patient, or at least told the hiring director that you expected to be done earlier and had to go due to personal commitments. Another one that loses is you, because you had to go through all that hassle of applying and going to the orientation, only to not get a job.

 

I read all 12 pages to see OP’s response. Since he never showed back up, I think he owes me compensation for my time.
