EVERYBODY involved knew they were breaking the law and they were trusting others who were also breaking the law. Don't hang out with criminals, don't be a criminal.

So intentionally abandoning people in a situation known to result in their deaths isn't enough to qualify for the death penalty in y'all's opinion?

The thing that I always notice is its always a refer that isn’t working yet the checkpoint never questions that. Local radio show host did a few hrs on this story today and had a few folks on that are involved in the in investigation. They are trying to figure out if the truck crossed border or went through Laredo checkpoint with them already in trailer or if they were loaded up somewhere after.
They are cloning small companies that have authority to border cross so no questions are generally asked since Border patrol has essentially just become a welcoming service for migrants.

Well.....to be fair, the article didn't say the driver intentionally abandoned the truck. The trailer was described as abandoned. The whereabouts of the driver is the big mystery here.

Sucks it happened, but it is of no fault except their own. Don't come here illegally. You made a decision and now you suffer the consequences or your family does. Not my problem. Not America's problem. If you are illegal, you have no right being here in the first place.

Article said worker noticed moaning coming from the partially open trailer doors . I suspect many were dead before they stopped to let them out..

The photo clearly shows a tractor-trailer combination.

Now that we're done splitting hairs, will you please address my previous question regarding the willful abandonment of living human beings in circumstances certain to cause death.
