I make 54 cpm. But mileage pay barely makes up half of my paycheck.

Thats not what it means. If you have Hazmat the BASE PAY is 50 cpm on all miles. Then on top of that if you pull an actual Hazmat load, you get an additional 3 cpm on the loaded miles of that trip. You get 2 cpm on top of that for all the miles you run at the end of the year into your 401k even if you don't contribute yourself.

I ran 104,600 miles Northeast Regional and was home about 48 weekends. With the bonus programs for a clean CSA score and the extra paid time off we earn and the other bonuses there is no reason you can't earn at least 52k the first year at Barr Nunn.

I just want to say for the record that I Drive for bar Nunn I have been with the company for one year now. it was rough when I first started working for them but now that I've been with him for over a year everything is going very well. I saw some of the comments on here saying that 50 cents a mile is not true but I'm here to tell you that 50 cents a mile is what they pay for Northeast Regional. as long as you have one you're driving and you have a clean MVR you can get hired here. I did very well last year. if anyone would like to talk to me. feel free to drop me an email.. scotty12162002 @ yahoo . Com

I took the band pay when I started 6 years ago. I'm capped at .49cents as my base pay. I average .52cents on my miles run before you count the bonuses. Made $200 shy of $60k last year. I'm bouncing between Zone 1 OTR and Northeast regional. I made $1340 this week running 6 days of FedEx. If you can go home every other week you make more. If you run Northeast regional 5.5-6 days you should be able to make $52k. Some weeks are $850, then some are killer weeks. Figure NE drivers average 97k miles a year minimum.

Band pay pay is the better deal in the long run. 50cents is better if you stay less than 3 years. At 50cents there are no raises though. Band pay you start at a rate of .45 cents or so and get extra pay for short miles. 1-100 miles are .88cents. 101-200 gets an extra .10cents. 201-300 gets an extra .06 per mile.

Time to go. My FedEx is ready!

Sigh... Because it's all their fault! How dare they! What company actually want their employees to work?! "but I don't like driving a night" "I'm regional and they always want me to go out of region, so I say no!" "I'm so tired of my dispatcher that I told him/her to stick it! "," I birch all day about loads, but I don't let that attitude get to the team leader! "...

I just summed up all your excuses.

Good luck with your next adventure.
