Our fur balls (3) have harness and leashes when they go out of the house as we live on a busy street.
We will be moving soon and fear they will jump out when stopping for fuel.

Praying for you and your fur ball are united again.

Have you every considered the fact the cat ran away, made it's great escape when you weren't looking? Pets are like people...some leave with no explanation.

ps....If you know anything about cats, they cant see in color, they have extra sensory peripheral vision. meaning they hate to be in moving vehicles because it drives them crazy seeing all the images flashing by. Most cats do not like riding in cars, they prefer their natural environments in a nice quite place in or outdoors.

He loves it in the truck. We rescued him from a shelter as a kitten so he is pretty used to it. He always sits in the windows while I am driving, has no problem using the bathroom or even eating while in motion. I think he enjoys it. He just doesn't like being alone. I've had him almost 8 months now and this is the 1st time its happened. I truly believe he jumped out to be with me, not to get away.

You probably already called the terminal but I would call them again this morning.Cats are more independent then dogs.I lost my dog once,I was taking her out to do her job she seen a rabbit and off she went. But hrs later she was sitting on the cold ground at a rest area barking to come in.Thats one time im real glad her leash was in knots,my fear was she got tangled around the trees. It was like 20 below that day.

I really hope you find him.

I travel with my wife and 2 cats, one night we were sleeping in a rest area in Utah and some how the cats opened the window (I hate power windows without locking feature). Waking up I saw the "Chief" (this is the male) walking proudly on the grass nearby and Susana (the female) was sitting on the top of the hood, observing some birds. We were glad they didn't go far...... And from this day, I always take out the window fuses.
