I dont understand why the bullets were hidden. The story didn't specify if it was going to cross borders or what...

Wasn’t hidden, just trying to haul two loads, placards must’ve fell off on our smooth country roads.

You didn’t read the article in its entirety, did you?
The ammunition was hidden in two commercial truck tires-including 800 high caliber rifle rounds.
The troopers also observed indicators of criminal activity, which suggests that the ammunition wasn’t obtained (nor declared) legally.

I still cant find why that ammo was in tires. Or what was illegal about it. It is perfectly legal to have it. Unless it was going to cross a border.
All the new stories i found were simply copies of one posted.

I think his comment was sarcastic in nature lol.

But, I dont know the Arizona laws so what was illegal about having ammunition? There probably was some kind of criminal activity trying to conceal that much ammunition however, its not illegal to carry ammunition. Regardless of location....

    Tell that to Arizona DPS.
If it was legal, why try to hide it-in truck tires no less? IIRC ammunition is supposed to locked in a case for transport.

Heading south on 19, going to Nogales. Ammo would cross border and be taken by cartels. Such a simple extension of the story.
