    (WLOS) — Interstate 40 is closed in both directions near the North Carolina–Tennessee state line due to a possible landslide, according to Tennessee transportation officials.

    Mark Nagi, regional communications officer for the Tennessee Department of Transportation – Region 1, said the road is closed at Mile Marker 450 in ####e County.

    That sucks. I just went through there early this morning. At this point they’re just gonna have to rebuild the whole valley, let alone the interstate

    I went through there east and westbound recently. It was raining on the way back and I was honestly a little worried. I was thinking what if they have more mudslides or it washes out again? The detour would have taken a bit longer so I just crossed my fingers.
