7 Points for not switching to SB after Off Duty

I used to log it "off duty" when I was OTR. 2 inspections (KY, OH) not a word word about it.

What's funny is that in a day cab, you have to log off duty for a min of 10 hours, but you could take your break in a strip club, in your car, or running a marathon .. or whatever, and it's completely legal (If there's an accident, that's a different matter, but...)

So yeah, it's BS.

 

I Am not going to stay on duty logging every second i breath when i read about sleeper it says off or sleeper or consecutive so if the law says i am wrong for logging off duty an i went from sleeper to take a shower in that 10 then he can write all the ticket he wants but he is only get off duty from me i am not going to be on duty worrying bout every second i will fight it in court if i have to i will not let these politician turn me into a nanny state Gov controlled robot i will do what i want when i want and i will be safe an get the sleep i need as i see fit.

 

You will log it correctly or no motor carrier will hire you as a driver.

 

So who cares about that an who says u r correct cause i think u r wrong

 

Every time I see posts like this it amazes me just how ridiculous the HOS rules are.

 

Especially when law enforcement of the HOS rules can be subjective!

 

Actually by your example of being in Sleeper Berth then doing these various items while logging sb you are in violation.
