I don't waste my time even thinking about loads under 2 bucks a loaded mile.

That's just it. "About 5" means you don't track it and pay detailed attention. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not one of these guys claiming you will save thousands by slowing down. However I do think everyone should be tracking their fuel consumption and taking notes. I do it just because seeing an unexplained increase in fuel mileage can help you catch a mechanical issue before it becomes a major problem. I want to catch that fuel injector that's acting up before it turns into a bad miss and I got to change it in a truck stop parking lot.cdavis188 Thanks this.
