If I were living in one state, and moved to another would I lose my 8 years of cdl history in previous state? And would driving record follow me? Let's say a speeding ticket 10 years ago that is still on my record?![]()

When I had to renew my KY CDL they gave me a form to fill out asking the numbers of all licenses I had in all states for the past ten years . I had a GA CDL 9 1/2 years ago but didn't know the number . I called GA and they said they only keep records 7 years . I told KY this and in less than a minute on the computer they had my GA number .

nope, the CDL lives forever in the records. It's just like transferring your regular license to another state. Just fill out the form, get the picture and take the eye and written test and keep on going. Just brush up on the CDL manual. The tests they put in the book are the questions you want to study on.

i disagree...the manual asks a ton of questions that arent on the CDL test at all, and not many that are
