90 degree alleydock and 45 degree alleydock

Well if X0, Y0 is dead center of the dock and the straight line backing maneuver begins at X0, and some unknown positive location on the Y axis then it would be a 180 backing maneuver, as the direction of travel would be 180 degrees from 0 degrees of the starting location.

Sorry, coulnt help myself... Math is kinda my thing.

 

So if the truck is traveling at 25mph and the trailer is turning at 3 feet northwest per second, with a 25mph wind blowing from the south, which way do you turn the steering wheel to bump the dock at a speed sufficient enough to get the forklift operator, who is on break, to come unload you?

 

Thats simple.
What ever it takes to bust thew the break room wall thus getting his attention and ending his break early!

 

I delivered once to a place you had to bump the dock like that or risk a $1000 fine for blocking the roadway.

Funny thing is there are a whole lot of folks on this site that would flame these old hands for being unprofessional and non drivers for not being straight in.
