I am in wa state, have a clean driving record minus the trucking experience. I also have my hazmat, twic, security clearance and passport. I'm looking for a company that pays really good. making at least $1k gross a week. I can be gone on the road for a long time as i have no home at the moment. I am looking to do a year OTR & then hopefully go local after a year with experience & do hazmat like hauling fuel.
thanks
A good OTR Carrier for a newbie

If u wanna haul fuel or some kind of local tank work then u should do otr tanker lik schnieder tanker or quality carriers. Both hire new cdl holders I believe
Keep in mind tanks are a challenge. Both in unloading and shifting/ surge. I've been driving over 2 years and started tanks the first of this year. Still getting used to surge. My fiance would probably break up with me if she knew how much I was kissing my windshield lolRedRover Thanks this. -
thanks i am very familar with the surge as i previously worked for a hazmat company working in refinery's. i was a laborer to many truck drivers & understand the nature of liquid surging, sometimes i would hydro blast the trailers clean of the product.
i just know theres plenty of money to be made working in the hazmat field of trucking, i just want to use my clean record from all the endorsements i have .
thanks,i am going to look into Schneider. -
@TROOPER to TRUCKER he can also point you in the right direction.

Try James J Williams. Tanker and dry bulk. Not sure if they hire new grads. @Roberts450

Schneider Tanker then go to Trimac if you want dryvan then Abeline
Fede671 Thanks this. -
Swift has a heavy haul division that runs pacific nw and Canada. You need all of your endorsements. Pays something like .50 per dispatched mile, loaded or empty, to start. It's all permitted and over sized, over weight stuff. But you're pulling triaxle vans.
