I want a topper for my truck but I'm not sure if I should look for one or just build one myself. If I go the topper route, colors doesn't really matter much to me. An 8 foot box is certainly a lot more useful if it's covered. I would love a 2500 Suburban but they're expensive for good ones![]()

Mine is a 2500 with the 454/4L80e combo, strong puller but man is she thirsty! Gotta watch out for the gen VI 454 though, the fuel rail is plastic and they're unobtainium.Dale thompson, Feedman and cdavis188 Thank this.

Mine's just a 350 but it has 4L80 as well. Towed 7600 lbs a couple weeks ago with no major issues. Is yours 4x4 or no? Mine is. The only issues with mine are that the A/C doesn't work and it'll need new tires eventually, neither of which will be cheap to address. Just rolled over 190k the other dayDale thompson and Feedman Thank this.

Nice looking truck! I would invest in a sto bought topper to make her look really great. I like them LT Wrangler tires as well. Just put a new set on my Z71 and they certainly ride nice. They should though as they don’t give em away.Dale thompson, cdavis188 and Feedman Thank this.

My Goodyear's are pretty worn, down to 6/32nds on most of them and they're 6 years old. I'm currently juggling a few different options for replacement. LT tires are more expensive and I'm not sure I would really make full use of them. I'm looking at $1,000-$1,500 out the door regardless of what I pickhope not dumb twucker, Dale thompson and Feedman Thank this.
