It takes a few weeks for HR in Arkansas to process your application, perform the background checks, check references, etc. I went through the process a few months back. I turned the job down, but be patient, they will get back to you. Best of luck to you!

I noticed the website says that training may be provided for less than 2 yrs. OTR. does anyone know how long of a training period and what is involved? I know driving, but is this a class type setting or driver/trainer?

training class is 4 weeks. They pay for everything, but you are contracted for 2 years afterwards so if you quit you owe them the money

Wow... wish I had any form of training when I got signed on. I was briefly shown how to connect a converter dolly and told how fast I could go with triples. I had zero OTR experience and the ink on my CDL was just starting to dry. Not gonna lie, I would have been way better off with 2 weeks of training. They pretty much threw me into the deep end told me to start flapping my arms. Luckily I managed to stay afloat long enough not to get fired. I think a large portion or problems could have been avoided had I been given a bit more than 8 hours of training.

CWF, ABF and YRC are the only companies that I know of off hand that will train new inexperienced drivers
