I seem to recall picking up a new trailer from them at some ungodly hour in the middle of the night when I was with Prime. Of course, that was the first thing I got to do after I passed my CDL test and left out to train 8 years ago. It may have changed.

We still like you also, even if you do pass us doing 75. We don't let the little things bother us.

I'm really getting tired of this black cloud. It might be time to call Rusty. Had a load that I left the yard with on Sat that delivered Tue near Amarillo. Got a message later Sat saying the load postponed and to take it to the new yard in West Memphis. Dropped it Sun about 2000 and sent in my end trip, not really expecting anything new to come across. Mon at 1100 I sent in a message asking if anything was available seeing I was sitting so long. So I guess maybe it isn't a FM's job to check on their trucks. Got a load from that yard delivering near Dallas Wed, 432 miles. So I send a message asking if I was laying over a day. Got a message back saying no b/c it was 721 miles. Ummm hold on, load says 432 miles and I came up with 434 road miles. John shoots me a message saying he didn't notice that was a Wed del and put me on a nestle load from TN to Huntsville. Load shows a del appt # but shows open del times. That should have been a red flag. So I get to Huntsville at 1000 and the appt # I was given was for 6/25. The guard shack gives me the correct # and says it isn't until 1730. Oh vey.

Why , oh why won't you ask for a new fm, Uturn????? Haven't you been tired of it???? A good fm checks on their drivers and doesn't let them sit. Yours, well, we all know, isn't a good one. You do still have her, right? And it's a cluster in Richmond today, too.

RC you are so right about this. My Dispatcher calls me or at least send a message to checks on me if he hasn't heard from me in a couple days. I ask a question he gets me an answer. A good fm
    Is key to.good miles.

Well I picked up the new reefer, we have about 10 still sitting there. I was in and out in an hour. Then got another dead head move to bring this trailer to Groveport B/H. I made it as far as Richmond Indiana at the Loves then shut it down for the night. I'll get up in the morning and take a shower then find out from Tim if I have a load at Groveport to pick up. If I do, then I need to find out when it will be ready, I don't want to start my clock here then drive 118 miles just to sit and wait. When I get word it's ready then I will leave here. Not that I have all these hours to work with. I'm down to 14 hours on my 70 and don't start picking up any until midnight Thursday night. I figure I'll be sitting someplace Thursday close by Richmond waiting on my hours to show up so I can get my happy arse home. This pay period that ends on Saturday will be the biggest mileage pay I've had as a solo, right at 8050 miles with a reset in the middle. The most I ever did as a trainer was 14,200 back in November. I'm tired and wore out, I'm cranky with my wife on the phone and all I want in my life right now is hometime, which should start about Saturday afternoon.

In the mean time I drove around this parking lot looking for the right spot to lessen the chance of someone coming in here the middle of the night half asleep and hitting this trailer while it's attached to me. I worry about things like that, that's one phone call I never want to make. I just take pride it what I do and figure if the company is willing to spend a ton of money on new equipement, then I'm going to do everything in my power to safe gaurd what is entrusted to me. I've done it with my truck since the day I got it back on Dec. 4th, 117,690 miles later I still do everything in my power to not put it in a situation where it might get hit. It's the least I can do to protect the companies equipement and my money maker. That's all folks, say goodnight Johnboy.
