Might just still make my 0430 appt Friday in spite of the 4 hr shop deal Monday. Be on the road midnight tonight then drive through the night tomorrow night and as long as no issues arise should get to Costco 0400 Friday. My luck planner will change the Appt anyway and not tell me, lol!

    Lonesome and JohnBoy Thank this.

Not being sarcastic but I will tell you why. As my dad told me years ago, "do something right, they will expect it out of you all the time". From what I have read in following this forum, you are dependable, you know your way around, you are not afraid of the "unknown" and most of all, you are a safe, skillful driver.

Don't let your head "swelled" after reading what this old man thinks about you. MY opinion is about as valuable as what you "flushed down the toilet this morning".

Quite the contrary, I for one know exactly what you are saying and I’m the first one to admit I’m only as good as the last load I did.
And the funny thing is I saw that first hand last week when I was doing a reset at the Richmond yard.

I left the house last Wednesday. The moment I get on the turnpike and then 95, it’s all 70mph to Petersburg Va. 8 miles from the yard I got caught for doing 65 in a 55 by our babysitting system in safety. So I get called down to safety and have to listen to our new safety person Paige explain to me the dangers of doing 10 over. Then, I can’t get dispatched until I watch a video on how dangerous it is to speed and take a quiz.

When I passed and was deemed a safe driver again, I then was “randomly” selected for a random drug and breathalyzer test.

My point? I know what I bring to the table, I guess it comes from 44 years of this insanity. I also know that I’m very much replaceable and that I’m only as good as the last load I did, or as good as the present one I’m on. My head won’t swell, I’m to old for that, but my job performance has nothing to do with Abilene, it is the same today as it was in March of ‘78, it’s for my ego, I just love when I do my job on time and safe.

Like I told safety last week, I’m not driving this truck for anyones safety on the highway, I do it for my wife and family back home. If I drive this truck safe, I get to go home and enjoy my wife and the fruits of my labor. The motoring public? They benefit from me going home safely to my wife.

Thank you for your input. I do appreciate what you said. Time to head into Southern California for my next drop.

Man it is total chaos and nobody told me who to contact since Nan is by herself until they hire more ppl in WM. Somebody rescheduled my appt for Monday without checking on me first about making delivery tomorrow. I call Nan and get an ear full when I wasn't told not to contact her for load stuff.....well I can't have a 0 pay week so Im fighting to get this split in Ellensburg, WA and put back on me for pay reasons.....I hate the no communication issue here.....

Guess my inverter decided to crap out. Checked the fuses, flipped breaker switch off then on again and no power to any of the outlets. Stuck sitting all weekend too. Going to have to get routed back to one of the shops I guess.

This is everything that’s wrong with this retarded industry. 1:04 minutes waiting at the fuel island for this azzhat to move his truck. The fuel island had half the pumps blocked at the Loves in Lost Hills California for construction. This simple minded bubba finally comes out after being paged for 30 minutes with his arms full of everything possible to add to his high blood pressure and high cholesterol, looks at me and just shrugs his shoulder. Douchebag. I should of told him that eating all that junk, being obese like you are, you’re a prime candidate to stroke out.
