In regards to the 12 v. ciggie plug-in inverters, do you keep them plugged in all the time, or unplug them each night (or 10 hour break) you do not have the engine idling. I imagine you would unplug the 12v ciggie inverters, even without a cooler etc. connected when you are away from the truck, so it doesn't drain the battery? I leave my gps plugged in when I am not in my pickup truck. Doesn't drain the battery (but it is only a gps).
About to buy an inverter...

I leave my ciggie inverter plugged in 24/7. It has an on/off switch. I generally leave in on 24 hours a day anyway. It powers my satellite radio for which I had misplaced the ciggie plug so I have to use the 120 volt household pluggie innie thingie.
I also recently got one of those Glade Plug It In Plug It In smellie goodie thingies. Here's a pic:Attached Files:

Having trouble with my inverter it's a 1500 watt power drive it works fine some days and then it dont when its working right there is 12.6 volts coming into it when its beeping and I put a volt meter on the terminals coming into it it only reads 7.0 volts can any of you help me with this each battery on the truck has 12.6 to 12.3 volts I have a breaker hooked into it instead of a fuse I got the proper size wire for it could my batterys be bad or is it just a junk inverter and my truck always starts sits all night and starts in negative degree temperature
