Quit now. Maybe you can avoid a termination.

In the days before Peelot bought the Flying Fishhook, I was sitting in the Fishhook restaurant in Laredo Texas (they sold beer. If stuck for the weekend, everyone went to the Hook). This young kid, would run up, look at the clock on the wall, then grab a plate, hit the buffet and chow down hard. Kid was wearing a Prime hat. This old hand was watching…

“Hey Prime, are you going to BOYSTOWN?”

‘Yes I am. The first time I came to Laredo, I was in my trainer’s truck and he wouldn’t let me go,but now I am in my own truck.’

“How much money you bringing with you?”

    ‘$100!’

(everyone in the room laughs. Old hand nods knowingly) “Yeah, you can have a great time with $100. Are you a company driver or lease driver?”

(the Prime driver sticks his chest out) ‘I’m a certified lease driver! (certified?)

“I don’t mean to be nosy but how much does that truck cost you to lease?”

    ‘Only $1600 per week!’

    (SILENCE.)

At the time, I was paying $800/month for my truck. If you went to the dealer and bought a brand new top of the line large car owner op spec truck, it would cost half what Prime was charging. The going rate for a the average lease back then was $1000/week. How did Prime justify $1600/week? I wasn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I paid my truck off and my mom’s house in one year and made lots of money. I’ve always wanted to go to Prime and sit through orientation and have them show me the numbers, because it just doesn’t make sense to me to pay 3x the money for the bottom of the line freight shaker just to say that you have a job.

So you're leaving a lenient company for suck Prime? They have no problem chewing people up & spitting them out along with trashing records.

You best stay where you're at and stop screwing up w/accidents/incidents!

Why are you so worried about mirror being hit? Even if you hit the mirror..
It’d be cheaper to bring you in and fix it with a mechanic they’re already paying be a shop at 140-160/hour..

Do you have this much anxiety just leaving the house incase something might happen…?

Experiencing panic over small things can be indicative of anxiety disorders like generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), panic disorder, or social anxiety disorder…

You’re digging yourself a hole. You really need to tighten up your operation, so you’re not screwing up. Whatever you’re doing, whether it’s being in a hurry, not paying attention, taking risks, whatever, you got to STOP that behavior. As it is, you’re never going to make it in trucking, regardless of whose truck you’re driving.

What will you do if you don't get hired by the next company after you have resigned from your current company? Do you have money and time and another place to go.

NOT every company reports to DAC or consults DAC reports. When any driver leaves a company, whether he quit or was fired, the company can report either "Eligible for re-hire" or "Not eligible for re-hire". Resigning before you are fired won't change that entry, if the company even reports to DAC.
