Talk to a different recruiter. The job does not need to be listed in your particular compass for you to get transferred. It may be since you’re less than 3 months, but I just did this exact thing when I transferred just a few months ago. Job was posted on snijobs but not compass and I still got the transfer. For me it was easy and fast, I also moved at the same time so I even had to get a new license.

I have an IheartSNI tattoo on my chest, because once you’re in that truck, you can never leave.

No one here will tell you that yes you can quit and go back. As long as you do it the proper way you shouldn’t have much of an issue. You can re-apply the day you turn the truck in. I don’t necessarily recommend it, especially in your situation. You’re just gonna have to suck it up for a few weeks until you get that magic arbitrary 90 days solo.

Since I start solo out on May 1st, I will sit tight until the end of this month. if that account still open I will try again.

I took a quick peruse of Schneiderjobs.com and didn't see a Target opening, but I didn't look very hard. If the account filled up, they won't accept any transfers. If the job listing is still up, write down the job req and talk to your DTL or Ops Manager about making the transfer.

If Schneider is still giving you static about transferring and JB will take you - make the jump. JB is a solid company and Target is a solid account. That said, if you do make the jump - be prepared to ride with a trainer again as I don't think 2 months solo is going to meet JB's requirements. Also, once there stay a minimum of 1 year.

As you're considering your options - one of the great debates in this industry is whether it's better to run flat out and take restarts or conserve your 70 and run recaps. There is not ONE RIGHT ANSWER. It depends on the the driver, the company, and the freight. When I was OTR I much preferred running recaps because taking a 34 in a truckstop is agony for me. You might try and run recaps for a couple weeks and see what it does to your income and lifestyle.

I had another 2 months ( 16,xxx miles ) with other carrier which is not very good everything has to written down on actual paper, got deserted from their driver manager way to often, so I decided to quit and tried Schneider.

2 months is not considered experienced driver for Schneider recruiter so they sent me to training class again. Since I did solo out by myself for sometimes already, I didn’t have any issue on training yard and with TE. 3-4 days he sent me back and let me solo out starting from May1st.

So in total JB recruiter counts those 2+2 and considered me as a 4 moths experience driver.

I’m currently on the paper mill account (100% drop and hook) , hauling any kind of paper product from Oregon to California and take some other things ( 100% live loading/unloading ) from CA back to OR repeatedly. Problem about 70 recap on this account is I need to wait for the appointment which is most likely to take place on Monday-Friday. Just like today I still have 14 hours left on my 70 which is more than enough to get back to my area. I went in to the yard and asked if they can load me early but they refused. So I need to wait with MT for 2 full days to get the load on Monday morning.

I understand that this is what I signed up for and be prepared to stay with it for at least 6-12 months but it’s really hard to resist to jump since you see the opportunity to end it a lot earlier than you were expected.

thank you very much for your advice. I think I will stay with Schneider until I complete that 90 days solo out then I will talk to recruiting again and let’s see what are they going to response.
