Advice and Suggestions on Sirius Radio?

He's got a new commercial for some other "miracle" additive. Makes your engine run better, more horsepower, better fuel milage and your wheels are automatically polished while it makes you younger and helps your libido.

I can't listen to that trucker channel. Especially Jonesy. Oh. My. God. No offense to anyone (or please, everyone be offended), some truck drivers should not be heard. Or seen. But certainly not heard. I've never heard more stupid bs than on that channel.

 

By the way, ATN is no better. The same 8 guys saying the same thing and then tells the story how how Motorkote is the best thing since sliced bread and it saved their lives. Makes you wanna puke in your soup.

 

Truckers are evolving. First the table talk. Then the cb airwaves. Later the internet forums, and now broadcasting over satellite. Our stories must be heard.

 

Ive listened to that channel occasionally; the guy's name was Nemo (?) doing the talking. I guess he's pretty popular but that terrible gasping sound he makes between sentences/ paragraphs drove me nuts. Maybe he's sick or something.

 

The whole programming's going for a big crap, that Mark" giggles,outstanding drivers'" Willis/Wills? drives me nuts. Every second sentence is "join my facebook page"! And Free Wheelin' as well. Guess I've just been listening too long and I'm finding most of their content just annoying now, and way way too much advertising for my liking. So I pretty much just move along to sumthin' different.

 

I agree! Seems like only the dumbest of the dumb call the trucking shows. Then they say the dumbest of dumb things. And if anyone in the regular listening public (non-trucker) is listening, these boobs give EVERY trucker a bad name...public probably measures the entire industry as being the dumbest of dumb.

I've had XM Radio since it's inception...and I've TRIED to listen to the trucker channel several times (at just a few minutes each time) for the first few years...and could not do it.

I remember when XM Radio was $6.99 for the basic package. Now I am paying $16.98. That is almost a dollar a year increase. GREED has gotten to them once again (most of the increase has been done since Sirius took over XM). The more customers they bring in, the more the monthly rate goes up. GREED!!!

If I was still driving OTR, the $16.98 would still be worth it I suppose....but since I am not, I plan to cancel---and that HAS to be done by phone, so they can try their stupid sales pitch to keep me. "Shut up, and cancel me" is gonna be my entire call.

 

Pretty much stick to Comedy. It is so repetitive though they should be embarrassed to send a bill.

 

I listen to Howard, NFL, some news, Raw Dog/Comedy Central/ Carlin's Corner, liquid metal, alt nation, classic vinyl, classic rewind,,etc. there's a lot of great stuff on SiriusXM, it's just what your preference is. I love me some classic Rock. And there's a bunch to play really good obscure stuff.
