What is the best way to deal with difficult Fm, dispatch, planners?
    Poor communication
No communication (lack of response )
Plans that are missing vital info (has company name but not distributer name)
    Wrong address
Fussing to us about a pro that is not for our truck.
    Night dispatch in general
    Not knowing policies
    Pay issues /chasing money

Is this part of trucking in general?

As for communication, it's a 2 way street. My manager communicate with me but I guess she things I don't or things I'm mad because I don't respond back lol. But seriously, if you tell me "hey you're good to go in early" Ima just go because typing in "ok" is wasting my 14!

As for missing information, as long as they give you the right pickup number and business name, you can find the rest like address using Google.

No idea what ur talking about

Night dispatch, never had an issue...so idk what to say

Who? U or dispatch/manager? Policies are not laws ;) you can break them but depends what u talking about...

As for money, talk to payroll

Sounds like a messed up trucking company in general. Best way to deal with that is leave. If such issues are throughout and from top to bottom, there is no way to deal with it. It's just a part of a company that never regarded quality work and performance from all employees, office and outside, as important.

This company probably has routine billing errors and poor customer relations issues, too. Shippers won't tolerate this when there's trucking companies on every corner, beating their door down begging for freight.

Yeah, those are problems at most every company in some form or another. Sometimes, its a perspective problem, some FM's have 40 people on their board and if even 2 have a problem it slows everything up. You , as a driver can be your own best friend, if you have a pick up point and a number, I would try contacting them myself. Google can get you just about any contact info in the world, use them if you can. Night dispatch is probably an issue at every company, way less people to deal with the same problems, again, the best person to help you is yourself. Pay issues, crap happens. Keep your records, people do make mistakes and again, crap happens. If you got shorted, point it out to your FM or call payroll yourself. If they're not willing to help, you really may be at the wrong company. While we all, in one way or another, love to drive, none of us are going to do it if we don't get paid. Safe travels

So you get your CDL thinking you deserve respect because you now drive a semi truck. Pfffg. Oh brother. How about you become proactive and stop waiting for a DM or fm to hold your hand.

I really think most of the big companies (especially the ones that hire and train new drivers) operate in this manner. Its silly, because its a very stressful environment for a new driver and often is one of the biggest reasons new drivers quit. These companies spend thousands of dollars in recruiting and advertising for new drivers and yet treat them poorly right out of the gate, they feel neglected and quit.......thus the cycle starts again. Then the presidents of these companies get on CNBC, Bloomberg, and other financial networks reporting a driver shortage and a changing workers attitude in general (alluding to a lazy work force). As my generation of driver (mid 50s to retirement) starts phasing out (dot physical is doing a great job of this) these companies will be in a world of hurt. They really need to understand this new generation of young people will not take orders blindly and want to feel part of something larger. A change of philosophy from the top down is way past due.........it will happen or our economy will suffer.

We have tried to document as much as possible. The turnover seems to be frequent in dispatch. So it takes a while each time the team has a new member, to catch up to speed.
