well you dont get to spend much time together...its a hard life, i have a hard time sleeping in a moving truck. rough roads etc. either one of you have any driving experience? eating on the road is expensive. wont be able to really eat together unless you are on a restart, showering means someone has to get up from their nap, unless you shower seperately....

when i started i was carefree and young.....had a blast ...met hubby on the road then did the team thing for 21 yrs...had a lot of fun....how to adapt? thats diff for each person....you love it, or you hate it....

Do you have your CDL's already ?

Do you have a company yet ?

You can check husband/wife teams in the search box.

We learned to keep a schedule to make it work. She drives 7am to 7pm then I drive at night. We eat during our shifts. The only thing we do at the same time is showering. During the middle of the day the showers are not busy.

We even plan bathroom breaks. Some rest stops are 50+ miles apart. Or you may be on a US or state road for a long time. Take your bathroom breaks or you'll master peeing in a bottle.

Work on your communication or you could end up fighting about something stupid like which exit to take.

Don't bring too much stuff with you when you start. We have 75 % less stuff in here than when we started.

I'll ask my wife for more when she gets up.

Do you mind sharing your school. My wife and I are thinking of doing the same thing. So far it seems like US Xpress is a pretty good company, have you checked them out ?

You call that snuddling? I call it down Right Gettin' Down! :yes2557: A reset there is plenty of time! And then plenty of time to sleep in the same bed or over under(bunks!) I wish you guys luck, Hang on to the house. Head home to check on things as often as possible, Tell the Police Dept. That your house will be vacant and they normally put that in there records so they can watch it. Good Luck!

Thanks for the Info. At this time I am thinkng 12m - 12n--- both see daylight and dark....

We have seen a highly rated porta- pot on money-saving-tips-for-truckers sight... I'm hoping that works out. Can't immagine a 6 lane dead stop traffic jam, no woods and time for immediate #2.

I would love to here your opinion about that, and especially your experienced advice about what to bring on the truck... thats major information for the initial financial expense--- cooler.. coffee maker?...

How do you get the company to put a strong converter in your truck before they send you on your way?

    Thank you again,

    WD40
