After all these questions, and all this time.. I've been asking some people like Allen smith, and others who are in the industry for years.. and now I ask you all.

With A Class 1 Telephone Harassment Misdemeanor a Class 2 Criminal Damaging Misdemeanor, and a Class 3 Criminal Mischief Misdemeanor, and Reading the rules the CSA has put in place, It looks as if my chances with a company are slim to none

I mean Im realistic, still hopeful. but I could get all the promises from a recruiter.. i got too many charges.. It's worse than a felony

anybody have any thoughts on this? am I right or wrong?

How old are the charges? Many companies will hire with misdemeanors, some even with a felony. What rule are you talking about?

Most hiring restrictions are for felonies. But they might look at you with a raised eyebrow. Is this guy gonna want to kill the first four wheeler that cuts him off? You really need to lose that temper first. Trucking takes a whole lot of patience and you will be tested on a daily basis. You need a cool headed demeanor to do a good job.

Them three charges told me you would cuss out the dispatcher on the phone, come back to the terminal and chase him around the office. :)

BigRigBoi, if those misdemeanors are over 7 years old, you might be ok. You have to disclose all of them of your application. Companies review this stuff on a case by case basis, so you might not have your first pick of company, but we're saying you might get a chance somewhere. Then, the more years that go by, the better odds this stuff becomes a lesser issue. You might also want to look into the court procedure for getting the records expunged. It will cost some money and your time to do expungements, but basically if the court accepts your petition on each charge, the arrest will still show on your record but the "conviction" gets changed to "dismissed" - this is my understanding of how it works.

Back to your original question, and I think you said in a different thread about one or more of the charges being domestic violence?? If so, that can be a bigger problem obstacle. But its not like you have to describe what happened, you only need to list the criminal charge, did they get a conviction, what was the fine, months of jail time, months of probation. That's the kind of info you'd need to list. So you can judge for yourself, like maybe you didn't have jail time, etc.....then each might not look bad, relatively speaking.

Sorry for the long post. Look into expungement. You have to do it with the court (county) where these incidents happen. It takes some time, so start looking into it now and if it looks like it would help to clean up your record that way, keep going on the process.

in the beginning, the criminal damaging (2010-2011) was a dv, but the ex admitted she was scorned. they dismissed the dv, and i was left with criminal damaging. the telephone harrassment was 2006 and criminal mischief was 2004

Can try Carolina Cargo. They give felons a second chance, so don't know why they wouldn't give you one. I think it's all teams and coast coast runs, but it's a start.

I hope your able to find employment, but I have to ask you a question. Did you learn from your mistakes and can you control your temper?
When your out about and driving these rigs, them crazy four wheelers don't care about you much! Are you able to handle that without flaring up (road rage). You need to be honest with yourself, because if you can't you could kill someone and end up in JAIL!
