After talking with my girlfriend...

I've decided to pursue my dream of becoming a trucker. Being that we have two young children together I knew I had to talk to her before I made a decision and once we did, she agreed that this is the best thing for me to do but under one circumstance. It would have to be a situation where I'd be able to get home weekly or at least biweekly. That was when I knew I would have to be either a regional or local truck driver so for the past day I've been researching regional and local truck driving positions and surprisingly there are plenty in the Illinois area who are willing to take on new drivers who have recently graduated with no prior experience, I guess I'm lucky to be in such a good area but anyway I just wanted to thank you guys for all your input you gave me in my other thread, I really took into consideration everything you guys told me and it helped alot. Again, thank you guys so much for being so helpful!

 

I'll be sure to do my best to stay away from the shady ones, do you care to name a few of those you are referring to if you don't mind?
