Anybody have a car size one in your truck? Think they'd do any good? Was looking at an Oreck, but heck, those run $300-400. figure someone makes a small car size one that someone uses.
I like a clean truck, and i hate to dust.![]()

I have seen those small ones that plug into the cigarette lighter. If you have an inverter you can get cheap air purifiers from Target or Walmart, BestBuy, just about anywhere. My wife suffers from allergies so after I bought one for the bedroom, she suffers less.

According to some sources,
they are a total waste of money !!! -
hhhaha had to say it.

An ionizing filter works quite well for removing odors. You need an actual hepa filter to filter the air or particles.
DickJones Thanks this. -
thanx...i'm just looking for something to help cut down on dust and pet hair. -
An air purifier in a truck will be a waste of time. Really as there are a lot of "leaks" in a truck. Even just opening a door you're letting in more dust that you can think about! Rolling down the window, a vent, openings in the floor around the pedals in the fire wall the seals around the doors. All let in dust
Get used to the dust! I'm a neat freak in my truck but a purifier is going to work pretty hard. I had to by several of theose Orick things for the house and they do a pisspoor job! We have a hepa one in another room and it doesn't do much better and the filerts in the A/C hearter unis are big and get changed but there is still dust in the house!
But a truck? ROFLMAO! Get those micro fiber rags and dust everyday like I did.
A 2" horse hair paint brush helps also get rid of dust in cracks in the dash and other places.
Now a pet in a truck!
If you have a hairless cat or a dog with hair not fur then you're ok, but those animals that shed will stop up A/C filters and condenser units like you would not believe!
I got into a Pete years ago. The sleeper fan ran, I could hear it but it darn sure didn't put out any breeze! The same with the cab! Just ran but produced nothing! I opened the cover of the bunk first and found a little cat food but when I felt in front of the condenser I felt a "soft pad." I went to remove it and what did I come out with? A 1/2 inch thick square pad of cat hair! I looked at it and I swore I thought it was a felt filter of some kind until I rubbed it and the hair started to fall off! I reached over and turned the fan on and I was almost blown out of the sleeper! That cat hair had completely stopped up the condenser so nothing would go through!
The same thing when I pulled the panel from over the cabs unit!
This wasn't the only truck where some lonely person had to have that shaedding machine with them but didn't clean up behind them!
Not to mention the soon to become roach food thats fallen into those hard to get to places!
Yeah, kitty and poochie are nice to have but that hair and dander will mess up a system! Now don't get me wrong I love my cat but it's called a house cat not a truck cat!
As for dust...live with it! You'll nerver keep it out of the truck!
Well you could IF you only drive in the winter months when dust is down in the EASTERN US and forget all about anything west of the Mississippi River where dust is grown! The east has it's own "dust" called pollen!
