How did everyone fix their air wiper motors?
    1. Send away to a rebuilder?
    2. Replace with electric
    3. Rebuild yourself?
    4, Buy new motor?

I did #4 with the driver side. I found one mfg by Sprague that cost me $300 IIRC. Now I need to so the pass side and the dealer is quoting $700. Found a Sprague for $400 I think they said. Good grief these things shouldn't be that hard to rebuild.

Air wipers...good God. Been a long time since I heard anyone mention such things...and it's been 20 years since I drove a truck with them. And it had air assist steering and an air controlled winterfront/louver system for cold weather.(both of those had to be rebuilt by a local pneumatics shop when they went bad.)

Well the truck in the pic is 30 years old so that's about right LOL. Actually, I have no complaints about the way the new one works on the driver side. Just friggin' expensive is all.

LOL THANKS Bro. One of the things I am going to do is go to the electric conversion. I don't know for sure what all comes in the kit tho.

    There's a kit?

I scoured the internet looking for a driver side wiper motor that would work but I gave up and just coughed up the $300. The truck had to roll.

Problem I think is most wiper motors now go round 360 degrees with a convoluted linkage these Pete's have a back and forth like a piston pump and don't have room for a linkage.

Gave up trying to fix them and just replaced them. You could replace the o-rings, hand sand the cylinder and get lucky. Air assist steering, don't you know he was one high class ape.

I've got Sprague air wipers on mine, yes you can rebuild them, it's only O rings. But a few years ago I replaced them both brand new from the importer for about the price you said. Kenworth wanted more than double.
Personally I like them because they give you plenty of notice when they need looking at, electric wipers just stop suddenly when you most need them.
Just put some air lube oil up the air line occasionally.
