So everyone knows about sweeping the trailer and some about using a leaf blower. I wonder if their could be a way to mop it!? How could this be done? I personally sweep my trailer whenever possible, but I am getting tired of paying $30 or $50 for washouts.

I know you have to wash it out if there is blood or you were hauling meat. Otherwise I made sure to sweep it out good.

Why would you worry about it?
Wash it out.Cattleman84 and Oldironfan Thank this. -
Oldironfan Thanks this.

The washout is supposed to be done to disinfect the trailer and some places are very picky on how it is done, but if you get a mop and bucket with some good cleaners they might let you slide, if you can get every blood splatter that somehow even gets on the inside roof.

You ever see contamination of a product from a dirty reefer?
I have and it is disgusting.
A good washout, even if you do it is better than a mop and bucket or sweeping it out.BoostedTeg, Oldironfan and pmdriver Thank this. -
If you ever have been sick from contaminated food you will understand why the gooberment is making rules to protect the public. We do not like new regulations, following the simple rules we have in place now is a pain, but do you want a new regulation? Which means a new fee, more paperwork and another process that will be more complicated than it is now? If you are running food it should be a understood cost and process.

That's why you pad $100 bucks into your rate to cover the $36 dollar washout (remember time waiting in line to the washout is part of why you do the $100).
