Nope, and it’s probably going to be absolutely filthy by the time I get to Washington with it.

My problem is with the truck. I saw a YouTube video where a Werner said his pigtail was causing his trucks ABS to act up, so while I was on my 34, I unhooked from the trailer completely and it still did it. The only thing I can think it might be is some gunk built up between a sensor and the magnetic ring and when I went thru Oregon the other day it was intermittently raining and enough water got in there to clean the gunk out. On my 34, I tried to use some brake-clean spray to do that, but even with the little red tube on the can, I couldn't get a good angle to hit the sensor directly.

Hope they get me in the shop tomorrow, there's not that many trucks up here waiting, so I don't want to miss my chance to get out of here before the next snow storm hits.

My issue was the 7 way receptacle mounted in the catwalk on the truck. I know I hardly ever unplug my 7 way pigtail from the truck. It was full of salt and corrosion.

How do they compensate you for your downtime on a situation like that?

I'm paid a guaranteed daily amount whether I move or not. If I'm moving under a load, then I make a per mile amount on top of that.

I get a nice pat on the the back. I'm paid mileage on this load, 0 miles= $0. Just part of the deal some times.

D.Tibbitt, Lonesome and dwells40 Thank this.

Last weeks check was for the end of my 4th month here. After 4 months, I have grossed just under $32k. If you project that out to 12 months, that's just under $96k. Not bad for my 1st year pulling general open deck freight with the limited flatbed experience I have.

I try to look at the bigger picture. This load pays me .95 per mile on 2500 miles. Once we get rolling it should take about 5 days to get there and hopefully unload on Monday.
