On the permits thru OH... IL, my 11' wide, night time only with 1 escort, IN - 55 mph and daylight only, OH - daylight only...with my limited OD experience, and in my humble opinion, wouldn't nighttime travel be safer since there is less traffic to interact with?

You would think. But east of
The Mississippi, moving at night is pretty rare. Watch your speed in Ohio, especially around Columbus. Indiana too but they don’t seem to enforce it much.

Oh no, hey maybe they’ll get you a VNX Volvo lol. Seriously hope it’s just a sensor issue.

Got my next permits. They're running me all the way down 77 from OH to NC

Well that’s a pretty dumb route. Where we are going is on the compleat opposite side of the state right off 95

NC's have me going down to Winston Salem, across 40 to 85 then to US-158 the rest of the way to the customer

Honestly, the extra cpm for OD loads doesn't make up for the lost productivity...this very well may be my last OD load. This truck struggles to pull hills worse than any PACCAR motor ever did...hell, I think the 11.1 350HP Detroit I had in the 1st truck I owned probably pulled better, and got better MPG. This Swedish Dog POS is getting 4.9 mpg, which includes the empty miles between Arlington and Spokane. So far, the 2 trucks I have had here thus far make me wish I had a Cornbinder with a Maxfarce engine.
