Happy holidays everybody. I scored a little bit of holiday weekend gravy today. This morning I kicked my empty pallets off and bounced 190 miles to our LA yard. This morning a local driver went to Wilmington and picked up this 11’11” wide Cat excavator part. Left it secured and everything! 864BE088-C274-41A1-B092-F754DD2F2A25.jpeg
I’ll leave about 1am and with some selective routing I’ll be able to miss all the holiday restrictions all the way to Illinois. Should be about 2200 miles plus my 200 mile deadhead, that will put me at just shy of 12k mile for the month on the 27th. May get another short one in if I’m lucky.

I've heard you don't make any money pulling OSOW for SPD, better off running legal freight. Any truth to that?

I’m probably not the guy to ask that question. I’ve done 4 loads this month, all over size. 3 11-12’ wides(gravy) and a 16’ tall 13’6” wide (a whole lot like work).

A person just starting oversize work is not going to get the loads I do with the frequency that I get them. They have to earn their stripes. That being said it’s quite lucrative if you’re good at it.

Some companies only pay 10-15 cents extra per mile for od work. Our top rate is 50 cents extra per mile, over 16’ tall or 16’ wide pays 550 or 500 per day. That’s if you turn 20 miles or 600. HopefullyWylie doesn’t #### that up, they are one of the companies that pay 10-15 cents.
