Either that or lift the boom and set it on top of what they want to load if possible

Nothing like starting the year off with a bit of gravy! I drew the short straw again and have to load another load of tarped sawmill equipment tomorrow morning.

    Thats the spirit!

    JoeyJunk and IH9300SBA Thank this.

That would work if it was something solid. They could have loaded it basket first and had it overhang the front, then I could have secured the basket angled back to the last tiedown pullouts, but that might gain me only a foot or so. I have seen some of these with the basket turned down 90°, but not sure this model can do that.

    JoeyJunk and dwells40 Thank this.

Well this is less then ideal. My truck is having sensor issues again. It must be something about sawmill equipment loads. The truck broke down a few weeks ago hauling sawmill equipment. 6E7A2BAF-37E4-467D-9005-50AB98697B89.jpeg

Well, when I was dispatched on this load, they made it sound like I was picking up something else(that was set up already), but after hanging out waiting on this implied 2nd pickup (for hours), they decided just to roll me up to PA with only this machine, which not only put me in rush hour in Knoxville, but right during a serious rain storm. My dispatcher broke one of my cardinal rules yesterday.... don't tell me how to do my job unless I ask for advice. He not only set my PTA without asking when I would be available, but he told me when I was going to roll and be empty. And when I stood my ground on this, and said I make those decisions, not him...it was a repeated "I just don't understand why....". I finally said to him, "I will explain it to you the way I explain it to my smallest grandkids when they keep asking -why-....it's because I ####ing say so, that's why, end of discussion". One way to get on my bad side is to push the instant a-hole button, and a desk jockey telling me how to drive and plan (when they can't plan for crap) not only presses that button, but holds it down. He and I are about to part ways...he is one of those tightly wound, high strung guys...and I don't get along with those type of people at all.

I love some guy sitting in a cubicle, using a mouse, and looking at a computer screen telling me how to do my job.

I finished out a load in morristown tn yesterday. Was told to head to shelbyville tn to pickup a load going to denton tx for midnight 1/5. Get about 45 miles from shelbyville and get told your load is loading out of hunboldt. I get to humboldt and they cant find the bills so i went to sleep. Woke up and they said the load had already been picked up on the 2nd.
