Is that a different shipper than the one we picked up from in Spokane?

Yes and no. Different shipper but they have the same parent company as where we loaded in Spokane. I believe the parent company is kind of our direct customer.

For what it’s worth when we started going steady with RMG our load numbers changed too. I believe we were up in to the 124, XXX Then we basically started over.

Picked up 2 of these 17000 lb boys(the ones I have are longer than the one shown). Got to use my TWIC card for the 1st time. They store them outside, but make us tarp them...SMH. When I asked why, the loader said it had something to do with insurance...like it costs them anything, once it's on our truck, it's our insurance problem until we deliver. At least I could get them loaded close enough together to only need one of my new tarps. Headed to SoCal for a Monday delivery.

Could be they don’t want exhaust going thru them. I don’t if you have a weed burner or normal stack.

We have weed burners, but these are solid titanium so exhaust shouldn't hurt.

I had to go in the way back machine to find these pictures from 2015. I used to haul those once a month or so when I was running Canada every week. I would take them to Wichita and then someone else would haul them to CA. At the time we were about the only ones tarping them.

This maybe the only load at SPD you couldn’t damage, even if you tried. I always choked them with two chains. If the load starts moving forward, the chain will get tighter. 099D2B15-A53D-4BF4-8387-8EB176985080.jpeg 5E0CC2DC-32F9-4D72-93F7-0FB8EDD4A3AB.jpeg

I have mine wrapped on the front and back of each one and a normal chain across the middle pulled down from the opposite side.

There is a difference in how dirty something gets between sitting in the yard and running down the road. Heck, there's a noticeable cleanliness difference between my driver and passenger side right now.

No to mention pitting from road debris. Maybe it's dumb to tarp them, but I can see the logic.

Left home Monday just before noon, and I clicked over 3000 mi as I was pulling in my parking spot at the Sky City truck casino in NM at 14:00 on Saturday...and all while enjoying my grandkids Christmas gift....they all got together and gave me a chest cold (or Covid if the Gubbermint is keeping score)
