It would have to be an inside job. It was the Toledo Port, and they won't let you leave until you're tarped.

If they know where to look they are all up and down the river south of Pittsburg. For some reason a lot of Ti gets processed in that area. They get them by the barge load. 02A04B9B-8506-4A95-88F2-874453843396.png

Picking up another military vehicle out of Riverside. A legal load this time. It is headed to Gulfport, MS. But because it is going to the port, it can't deliver until Tuesday. As of yesterday, I was on a conestoga load that loads tomorrow headed for OH for Monday...but this morning the planner called me and switched it to this load. Either way, it works...I don't have to tarp it, and being legal, I can run it hard and get in a 34 before I deliver and still have a decent start to the next pay period. Still not feeling my best, so that's fine with me. Got a compliment from the load crew. The easiest way to hit the loading dock is blindside off a small road, I got it dead straight with one pull up. They asked how long I had been doing this, when I told the how long, they said it shows. They have some drivers take 15-20 min to get to the dock, and still be crooked as heck. I just told them the old saying is true...a blind squirrel will find a nut every now and then, I just got lucky today.

Hey @kylefitzy, where do we get heavy duty shackles for securing loads our chains won't fit? This vehicle I am picking up has securement points in the front, but the chain links are too big to fit thru the holes, even if you take the hook off. I ended up securing to the front axle. The back had D-rings but not the front. When I picked up that LAV from Barstow a while back, the Marines had shackles installed already, but this Army truck didn't come with them and I don't have any at the moment.

I bought mine on eBay and Amazon but I believe you can find them at tractor supply. I carry 5/8” 3.25 ton and 7/8 6.5 ton. Those values line up with one and two 3/8” chains used indirectly. I also have some larger ones that I snagged off some tooling that was getting scrapped.

Should be able to buy a few and turn in the receipt with approval.

I found out that the port of Gulfport will be open on Monday, so I will get in the area Saturday, do a 34, and deliver this Monday and have a fresh 70.

Mine was on there 2 days ago, but I noticed last night and today, it's gone. I called safety, they say mine is set to ON at their end. I hard rebooted, signed out and back in, and they reset something at their end...but still missing. The new lady says she is gonna check with Mike as soon as he is out of a meeting. I hardly use it, am never a bad boy going over hours, certify every morning before getting out of the truck...I thought it was a Wylie change they didn't announce, their regular flatbed divisions didn't have a PC option when Moore was assimilated, but the glass division was allowed to have it.

I also asked her about the name change (Inc to LLC) on our logs...we're now LLC, but our logs still show Inc. I wondered if that is some sort of violation...she said she'd check
