Some of my equipment issues have been resolved. Once I stopped for the night and did my post trip, I rebooted the Peoplenet and the mileage issue fixed itself. As for the 'check' idiot light on the dash, I checked, and I had all my blinkers...so I shut off my lights and went to bed. When I got up this morning, as I walked in to use the restroom, I noticed that my right marker/turn signal light on the trailer was on, and so was the right rear turn signal/tail light, on the bright side...but no other lights were on. When I did my pretrip, the brake lights were blinking, but the turn signal stayed bright on the right side...I unplugged my pigtail, checked the pins, and plugged it back in. No change. It was 10°, dark, and that truckstop didn't have a shop, so I rolled towards Moriarty. Once the sun came up, I decided to do a little troubleshooting before I spent any of the company's money on a shop visit. Everything worked right as far as my truck and pigtail. I pulled the trailer's pigtail socket and discovered that the last person who worked on this trailer didn't reseal the rubber boot that goes over all the wire terminals right, and they were completely caked with road grime. The problem ended up being some of the gunk got wet and was shorting between the right turn signal terminal and the center ABS terminal that has power anytime the key is on. So, I took each wire off, one by one and got out my boot cleaning brush and scrubbed all the gunk out from all the terminals. Plugged my pigtail back in and taaada... everything is working like it should. So, I taped the rubber boot as tightly as I could and put everything back together. So the issue wasn't my Sweedish Dog truck like I thought, it was a botched repair job on the trailer plug which freaked out my truck. I might need a raise if I have to keep playing mechanic AND truck driver![]()

Good job! Electrical issues can be a pain to track down. Unfortunately they are often related to poorly done repairs.
Got my combine kicked off this morning, they even let me keep The hardwood blocks!
Stopped in North Baltimore, Ohio for the night. Our Canadian wing crew is here, so I’ll eat breakfast with them in the morning before heading to Toledo. My load pushed from Friday to Tuesday so I get to hang out. Not super thrilled but I’ll get detention pay. -
So, what gives with them putting an actual locking gate at Wichita? It's not like there is a lot to steal out of the back lot there...I highly doubt someone would want any of our old trailers...

Technically it’s a requirement for CTPAT, but also we are going to be storing skid loaders there from the local plant.IH9300SBA and gentleroger Thank this.

Cool deal, I know Wylie has a Case equipment fleet. Would be nice if this partnership would result in us getting some equipment loads.
-
That’s probably going to happen. I know the combine I just hauled was a Wylie load.Lonesome Thanks this.

Yeah you guys have those fancy steps with wells for the front end loaders…hopefully the transition will come with some benefits…kylefitzy Thanks this.

The load I just pulled was from Lonestar, they said we had 5 SPD trucks pulling for them this week...so we aren't just sharing with Wylie.
