Having to wait until Tuesday morning to pick up has put me right into the next round of snow coming thru the NE, IA, MO border, and into the one after that in WA. Wednesday night into Thursday Percival is expecting 3-7", Lincoln is expecting 3-5", then, over the weekend Snoqualmie is expecting heavy snow, so it looks as though I will be taking the southern route to Kent with this 6000 lb load.

I had considered transferring to COTC to get away from Wylie (and keep my health insurance going), but I noticed one thing that would prevent me from doing so....their website says this about their crash cameras

I can deal with the 65 mph trucks and outward facing cameras, but inward is a deal breaker. Plus, I read that Lonestar also has inward facing cameras. I wonder how long before all Daseke companies have them...

COTC has had inward facing for quite awhile now.

From what I understand they don’t overdo the enforcement, at least according to one driver I know who works for them.

Back when I was at Moore, the COTC driver that ran glass off our yard had the same forward facing camera we had...but they didn't have PC.

Still, if the company feels like they have to keep an eye on me while driving, it means they don't trust me...so I won't ever work for a company with inward facing cameras.

I’ve always said if a company has to Constantly worry 24/7 about who’s driving their trucks that maybe that standards need to be raised… forward facing camera can actually see if the drivers penitentiary anyway, because if the driver drives off the road, and the camera showed nothing in front of them, then obviously, they weren’t paying attention to the road

While I won't work for a company that uses them, I do understand the reasoning because of so many idiots on their phone while driving. I've seen God only knows how many drivers holding their device and texting while driving a semi.

I think the brilliant young man running hunt and is after crete is a very talented individual especially how he pops his collar a sign of executive status... after a bump in a seedy bathroom with a follow up pipe hit with Hunter! Do what works for you in the end

runningman0661, dwells40 and HaglerFan Thank this.
