I do believe I am finally getting over this respiratory crap, and starting to get some stamina back. Last week I had two big days, one of which could have been my biggest legal day ever if Council Bluffs wouldn't have been doing major interstate construction and I had to detour. Today, I ran 685 miles and still had 40 minutes on my drive time, and I am not dragging arse like a whooped dog.

I made a comment on that picture on their FB page about Wylie but I don’t think they liked it too much. Wasn’t rude by any stretch though.

Careful now...you'll hurt Wylie's management's feelings...they can't take criticism like their average employee does. They'll go sulk in the corner.

Nice box jockey truck. I wonder if they come in a flatbed version. D2C532DE-ED72-407E-A8B4-4551CDEBC3C6.jpeg

Is that a shorter sleeper than our current 680's?

Kenworth only offers one size sleeper in the high roof, 72”. It’s the same as we have always run. Just with much more plastic ######## 3” off the ground m to fall off when I’m going full send over an island to miss something.

That's the new company color? :puke: Generic white would have looked prettier. I have a similar color on this Volvo and it shows dirt bad...your truck's color would've been a lot nicer, or dare I say, Wylie red beats blah gray. Plus a 5 digit truck number, must be so we will fit into Wylie's system better. And I still say they should get their money back from the so-called marketing company that designed the new logo. Looks like it was designed by a middle school art class except it's missing the "m" shaped birds around the mountains.

I've seen shorter 680's in the PNW, on some of those companies that have drop axles on their trucks and extra 2 or 3 tag axles on the trailer but couldn't remember if they had the upper window. I compared it to a pic of my previous truck...the hood looks longer on the new one, maybe that's why the sleeper looks shorter... that and they moved the strobes back by the fairing.

Is that an online pic or did you see that one parked somewhere?

I’m not opposed to the new color, although even spd management agrees going to a single color is a change is company culture. I would argue taking away drivers choice of color has no upside.

these are spd speced trucks that were ordered before Wylie took over, the next batch will hopefully be speced different. Wylie trucks don’t have any of that aero ####, we pull ####ing open decks after all.

That picture was taken at the upfitter in Chillicothe and posted to our private FB page.

Yeah, I bet that aero crap wouldn't last long in places like that mud pit sawmill construction site we delivered to a while back. We do enough off road and construction site deliveries that a truck like that doesn't need to see. As far as a uniform color for our trucks, I wouldn't mind, I probably would be able to spot one of our trucks with enough time to throw up a wave...as it is, I probably miss 85% of our trucks going the other way. But I don't care for that gray, the only color worse would be baby blue or Horniday brown.
