I'm surprised they didn't figure a way to add some to the ones that have been retrofitted with a tire carrier. All they have to do is wire a switch to the continuous power circuit and run it down to a strobe circuit and mount some lights. I wonder how long before we start hearing Travis talk about the CSA points drivers are getting for running OD freight without strobes.

The inside 4” lights are only tail lights, they could be replaced with 4” strobes. A simple switch and a few cut wires and we are in business.

as far as I know there are no csa points for permit violations.

most states don’t require flashing lights on the trailer or even the truck.
Michigan requires two lights on the trailer, Illinois requires lights on the truck, ga and co you can run a flashing light on the trailer instead of a rear escort. Co requires two flashing lights on the rear to run at night. I’m sure there’s more.

If I’m not big enough to require escorts, I usually don’t even run my overhead lights during the day.

That's not what I asked. I asked if he was paid for that time?

Made it to the yard, dropped the load and parked. My dispatcher is helping with orientation this week, they have 12 new recruits this week. So the person helping cover his board said I might be here a bit longer than planned because there is an overload of drivers in the area again, so I might get a 34 in. I can live with it, the miles for this load go on May's miles since I dropped it on 5/1, so I am starting the month with almost 1500 miles, if I don't leave until 5/3, at least I'll have a fresh 70 to burn...and they know that I can still make a stellar month with a day off here in there.
