Good luck with Sturbridge Pilot. Have you ever been to Flynn's truck stop in Shrewsbury Ma.? 307 Hartford turnpike. Not a bad place and better than the Pilot.

I looked for that one once, but it was many moons ago. There were free spots at the Peelot, but there is a new Love's across the interstate from the Willington, CT T/A, so I made it there instead.

Bumped off the last 4 stops before noon, which wasn't bad considering 3 of the 4 stops were within 15-20 min of Boston, one stop was 1 exit before the tunnel.(and was a major PITA to get in to), if I would have had my axles spread I wouldn't have been able to make the turn to get to their gate. As it was, I had to use both lanes of both roads and go up on the far curb to miss the telephone pole on my blind side. But, all the stops were happy to see me and had me out of there in a jiffy.

Nope I’m babysitting a 10 wide in Deep South Louisiana. 4 hours to unload on piece, not bad I guess. The last guy was here from Saturday afternoon to Monday afternoon.

Last time I was there they had a restaurant across the street that had some nice seafood. Been a few years though.

Well I’m already at 5400 miles for the month so I’m going to push for a nice bonus. I had a sweet 1100 total mile run of skidded coils up to Michigan. Info said load up to 2000 tonight or 0700 tomorrow. I was good for 2000 tonight until we had a several hour lighting delay this afternoon at the job site. Called the broker as instructed to get p/u info and they ended up pulling the load when I told him I couldn’t load at 0700 and be 900 miles away 23 hours later for a pinpoint delivery. “After 7am they have no way to unload you” wth does that even mean? They must not need the #### that bad. Now we are back to square one.

I'm still here at the Love's in CT. I had right at 5 hours left on my 70 on Tuesday when I shut down, and didn't get any hours back until Wednesday night, so why waste an opportunity to reset. The only thing it would have helped to move yesterday is getting a little closer to wherever my next load picks up. Still, would've been nice to know where I might be picking up before they went home yesterday, even if it didn't pick up until Friday. My reset was complete just after 1 am and I could've cleared whatever traffic nightmare area I will be rolling thru nice and early this morning instead of finding out today and then having to do battle with the brake light parades. But it did give me time to better organize my chain rack and get my binders lubed up, it has been a while since I actually had to chain down a large number of items, they were getting dried out and stiff. Plus I got my strap box all reorganized as well...so I am ready for them to wave the green flag and start this next dash for the cash.

This Love's is a smaller one. I think the app says 56 lined spots, only 3 showers and no laundry...but it's free parking unlike the T/A across the interstate. But the creative parkers make it a royal pain, even when you park in what normally would be a safe spot. Yesterday there was shouting at 4 am because a special Swift L/O thought it was o.k. to park across in front of a half dozen trucks in the driveway for his break, and one of my neighbors wanted out and asked him to move...they need about 50 more spots and parking lot security to keep the entitled seat warmers under control.

Tuesday, it looked like MA DOT was starting their safety blitz early this year. The weigh station going west on 84 just after you get off the turnpike was wall to wall with super troopers and victims and had a half dozen trucks pulled over on the shoulder of the entrance ramp getting back on the interstate.

Came by there about 1045 last night, did you hear my air horn? Thought you might still be in there. That place even looks small from the road. For future reference there is a truck stop in downtown Hartford north of 84 on 91. Jennings toad exit.
