@kylefitzy, when you get your new truck, it will most likely be registered out of Indiana. Talked to Liz, and Daseke has us switching to a single Indiana tag. So, on top of all her regular duties, she has to now get all the permits that are tied to our registration swapped over to Indiana.

Not my usual mileage day today. The load info said this battery powered box truck I am hauling was only 15,000 lbs. But, it isn't close. I am not sure how much heavier this extendable RGN is over our old steel frame conestoga I hauled last month, but that conestoga and my truck's empty weigh was 38k. This RGN, the energizer bunny mobile and my truck with full tanks grosses out just over 72k, so that truck can't weigh 15k...and going across WA, ID and MT I am dragging arse. I only made it to Butte with 35 min of drive time left. I doubt I put down any 700 mile days.
And I already found out that I will be heading to the Toledo yard after I get empty on Tuesday, I am guessing to swap trailers, but haven't been informed about anything beyond an empty move to Toledo. I am not allowed to deliver this truck on Monday, it has specific instructions to NOT show up early...D.Tibbitt, Lonesome, dwells40 and 1 other person Thank this. -

The lady that does our regulatory compliance stuff called in on Wednesday..."Terry? I have to have a couple of days off. It's really important. My sense of humor is broke and I need to get it fixed." I'd never heard that excuse before and she's a real asset to this place so I was glad to give her the time off.
D.Tibbitt, supersnackbar, intrepidor and 5 others Thank this. -
